D-day was a sad day, but if you had the chance to help save our country would you take it or not? The title is D-Day. The author is Bruce Bliven Jr. I think the genre is nonfiction or informational.
D-Day was a sad day. Lots and lots of people died to save our country. The day in World War II was all planned by the Americans and English. The Germans were talking over Europe and someone had to stop them. It was us. So, the English and us teamed up so we could win the war; which we did. During D-day Colonel Mullins got shot 3 times before he fell dead. The first time he got shot in the leg, but kept right on going. Next, he got shot in the hand. Last, he saw good land and went to check it out, but he got shot in the stomach and fell dead. Oh, there's so much still to be done.
I found this book i the school library. My dad inspired me to read this because he is a history teacher and history is life in the past. I rate this book 4 stars. I mean 4,000,000,000 stars.
